Owl Radio softball dominates

Owl Radio played (and dominated) The Fireballs in our first intramural softball game Friday, March 19. It was a battle filled with blood, sweat and tears, but in the end, Owl Radio won 11-10.

Owl Radio Cares–Help Haiti and Donate!

As we all know, Haiti was recently stricken by the impact of a 7.0-magnitude Earthquake which destroyed the lives of thousands. There are still citizens being rescued from the ruins. Many countries around the world have come together in disperse aid to the devastated country. The “Hope for Haiti” telethon, which aired for two hours on Friday, raised a remarkable $57 million and counting. But there’s still more that needs to be done! OWL Radio will host a donation campaign called, “OWL Radio Cares” in efforts to raise money and provide supplies for Haiti. We will be working along side with Haitian Student Alliance There will be a large box placed in front of the station for those who wish to drop off supplies. If you would like to donate money, please give the money to one of our staff members and they will turn it in. If you have any questions, please email Sydney at sydney@ksuradio.com.

Time is a wonderful think to think about.Sometimes it moves slowly, other times it speeds past us. I feel that wasting time is one of the most idiotic things to do . e, as humans, have a very finite amount of time in which we get to spend on Earth. And even though life is the longest span of time we, as humans, will ever experience, it is still quite short. I have a good feeling about the year 2010. Have fun, be kind and don’t waste too much time.

Kennesaw — Homeless man (pictured) was found lounging on the station’s brand new (used) couch. He was subsequently arrested for loitering and aggravated assault. More after the break.

Last Ever Shenanigans! this Wednesday 7-10 PM

This Wednesday August 12th will be the last ever Shenanigans! on Owl Radio. It will be a special 3 hour edition until 10 PM and we’ll go through short sets of every theme that Shenanigans! has had over the last year. Also, Atlanta band Wavepool will be in the studio for a live set. These guys started rocking Atlanta in 1995 and after a short hiatus are back and recording new material. Tune in to hear what you’ve been missing for the last 14 years. They’ll be playing August 22nd at Swayze’s with Treephort and we’ll be offering free passes on the show.

Jazz with Mr. C will be starting at 10 PM.
