Mass Effect 2 is on the Horizon!

Good afternoon readers and bloggers. Radiation Radio is preparing for an all out gaming fest. The sodas are stocked and the chips are fresh. Mass Effect 2 comes out Tuesday January 26th. A wonderful present to Hedroom and I for our shared birthdays. Hedroom was able to get the low on the new storyline for our readers to prepare themselves for.

To begin Shepard is back. The game takes place two years after the events of the first game. The sequel starts with Shepard dead but his brain patterns saved and downloaded into a android body. This is a great fluff reason for players to change their class and appearance. A human terrorist organization known as Cerberus is responsible for resurrecting Shepard because their leader believes that the reapers are not gone. A new alien menace has risen. A few playable characters return for cameos but the majority of Shepard’s team will be new.

Radiation Radio: A Semester in Review

The great thing about fall semester is it happens to coincide with fourth quarter game releases. It might also explain why I never go to my fall semester classes, but I digress. 2009 saw some great movies and some great games come out. So I decided to review my personal favorites from the year.

Favorite Video Games.
I have to give a shout to Mass Effect even though it was release in 2008. I just got around to playing it and I love it. The best games of this year, in no particular order, are:

Ghostbusters
Batman Arkham Asylum
Dragon Age Origins
Borderlands
Call of Duty Modern Warfare2
Assassins Creed 2
Resident Evil 5
Plants vs Zombies
Left 4 Dead 2

Next year has some great games coming such as the highly anticipated Bioshock 2, Star Trek Online, Starcraft 2, and Mass Effect 2

If you haven’t seen these movies I suggest heading out to blockbuster of the theater ASAP. Some of these are Oscar hopefuls and should be seen before people start getting all snooty over them.

4th Quarter Games and new Weezer

Hey Nerds, Long time no post

Big changes coming to the nerd world. We just saw the beginning of 4th quarter video game releases including Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Coming up this quarter are Assassin’s Creed 2 as well as Left 4 Dead 2. Check in next week on Radiation Radio to hear coverage of these great games.
