ATLANTA, Ga. — Red Bull’s international illuminated photography exhibition showcasing the world’s best action sports photography will take place downtown beginning on March 20.

For 10 straight days from sunset to 11 p.m., Piedmont Park will be hosting Red Bull Illume, the world’s premier international photography competition dedicated to the world of action and adventure sports. It’s purpose is to showcase the most exciting and creative action sports photography on the planet as art and bring the public into the world of action sports. The exhibition is free and open to the public.

From tens of thousands of entries, the 50 best images were selected by a team of photo editors from prominent international publications. The 50 finalist images have been traveling around the world as a unique and stand-alone photo exhibition on 2-by-2 meter light boxes. To showcase the illumination, the exhibition is only open at nighttime.

Red Bull Illume’s opening night, Thursday, March 20, will begin at approximately 8 p.m., where the Red Bull Air Force will kick off the night with an aerial performance. Opening night will also be hosting famous athletes, who will be giving presentations and showing off their skills, and world-renowned photographers, who captured the images that will be on display. Guests will be able to meet and talk to the athletes and photographers. Cocktails will be available for purchase for guests ages 21 and older.

Red Bull Illume’s College Night will be on Wednesday, March 26. Kennesaw State University and other college students will receive special drink discounts all night long. Students can finish their night at Opera Nightclub for a Red Bull sponsored college party. Opera Nightclub will be having a special deal for all college students attending on March 26.
