Kennesaw, GA – Wiz Khalifa will headline Kennesaw State University’s homecoming concert at Fifth Third Bank Stadium, Saturday, October 11. The date will be part of a national tour and will also feature breakthrough artist Ty Dolla $ign.

“Night Owl Productions is proud to sponsor the first KSU homecoming concert to be held in the stadium. We expect a strong student and community turn out for this celebration” said Derrick Palms, KSU Student and Lead for the Student Production Company. “Homecoming is the collaboration of many student and campus groups, and we are excited to take on our role of producing the concert on this amazing weekend.”

Wiz Khalifa is a five time Grammy nominated artist that lit up the hip-hop universe in 2011highlighted by the three time platinum-certified #1 single, “Black and Yellow”. Wiz is set to release his third full-length album “Blacc Hollywood” August 19. The first single released from the new album “We Dem Boyz” is already a top 10 on the Billboard Charts.

Atlantic recording artist Ty Dolla $ign is a rising star with a high profile of activity, currently on tour and completing work on his anticipated debut album, “Free TC,” slated to release later this year. The latest single from Ty’s acclaimed “Beach House EP” – “Or Nah” (feat. Wiz Khalifa and DJ Mustard)” is a summer smash and is currently number 12 on the Billboard Hip Hop Charts. The single recently was name the Most Added Track at urban radio outlets nationwide and has continued to climb the top 10 iTunes “Top Hip-Hop/Rap Songs” chart.

Homecoming events for Saturday, October 11 will start at 3:00pm and will include an opportunity to see the new Kennesaw State University Football program in uniform. Award ceremonies, homecoming court and Pep Rally style entertainment will be part of the Homecoming event. KSU begins Division 1 football in the fall of 2015, so this will mark the first official opportunity for students, alumni and community fans to meet the players.

Following the celebration, students and the community are welcome to join a street festival set around the stadium called “Owl Prowl” from 4:30pm until 7:00pm. At 7:00pm, the stadium gates open for the concert for those with tickets to the Wiz Khalifa show. The homecoming celebration and Owl Prowl is free to all, but you will need a ticket to enter the concert portion of the day.
