Bring Me the Horizon has done it again with their sixth studio album, “Amo.” This album is one that has been in the works for years and the wait was well worth it. Kicking off with the song “i apologize if you feel something,” the emotion comes on strong through writing and overall production value. Oliver Sykes, the front man and lead singer, poured his heart into this album through the use of various personal struggles he has endured over the past several years.

The first single from the album, “MANTRA,” comes in a lot heavier. Although, not nearly as heavy as their earlier works, the song is catchy with its more commercial sound. Another song of note, by opinion, is “in the dark,” where Sykes writes about a divorce, which he experienced during the making of this album. The song tells us about how his wife was cheating on him, and although she tried to tell him she was not, he knew. The song is easy going, and catchy, but full of emotion from Sykes.

Overall, the album is fantastic, and I would rate it among their best work. Their sound has matured since they formed and is still evolving with each album. Each of the 13 tracks brings something unique and something almost anyone can enjoy.
