The Pittsburgh Steelers and the New York Jets are trending in opposite directions. The Steelers, who possess the best record in the National Football League are 7 games away of having an undefeated season. This feat hasn’t been accomplished since 1972 when the Miami Dolphins did so. However, Pittsburgh fans don’t worry, it won’t happen. I believe the Steelers will finish with one guaranteed and possibly two losses before the regular season ends. They have Washington and the Colts at home, they finished the season with Browns on the road and also play the Bills on a prime-time Sunday night game on the road where I believe they will lose. Now for the Jets, which is the only team in the league that doesn’t have a win in 11 tries. They have five games left versus Las Vegas, New England, Seattle, Cleveland and Los Angeles Rams. Most would predict the Jets would lose all five games. I’m here to tell you don’t worry, it won’t happen. The road games with Seattle, Rams and New England are almost guaranteed losses. For the Jets to avoid the dreaded 0-16 feat, a feat not accomplished since the Detroit Lions did so in 2008, I think they must defeat the Las Vegas Raiders at home. They definitely can. That’s what makes this game of football intriguing. We don’t know how it will turn out, but I’d rather not see either of these teams accomplish this feat. So don’t worry Steelers and Jets fans, it won’t happen.
