A new NBA season is on the way. Highlighting five games on Christmas day, Zion and the Pelicans head to South Beach for a noon start tip against the Miami Heat. A battle of two-time MVP’s as Stephen Curry and the Warriors face off with the Bucks and Greek Freak. An evening showdown of both Jalen and Jayson AS KD and Kyrie brings Brooklyn to face them and Boston. Luka heads to California to face Bron/AD and champs with getting a win in mind. As this game will air on ABC network prime-time, closing out Christmas will be the Nuggets/Clippers including Kawhi and PG a rematch of the Western Semis, where the Clippers blew a 3-1 lead.

71 days, the shortest time length of any new season to begin before we go to a new one, lets recap how last season ended, my friends. The Los Angeles Lakers won their 17th ring earning the honors of having an opening night game to show off their bling. They defeated the Miami Heat, the East 5th seed. While again, the Clippers lost to the Denver Nuggets blowing a 3-1 lead. Speaking of Denver, they made it to the Western Conference Finals, first in 11 years, which is nice and became the only team to come back from a 3-1 deficit in a postseason twice. Basketball was uncertain for a moment and play came to a stop because of the COVID-19 pandemic, our entire world was rocked. The NBA wanted to try to resume play. They needed a place to do so and to know that all who participated, would be safe. They finally decided on Orlando and Walt Disney. There should not be any trouble putting 22 teams in a resort and confining them to a bubble. Players/coaches were dealing with all kind of things: Isolated from their families, social Injustices occurring, and boycotting games during NBA Playoffs while securing meetings with ownership to open arenas encouraging votes for the election. All to chase a dream. To have our voices heard, and have an opportunity to receive a championship ring in 2020 for all and the NBA has been quite a year to remember. As we approach a new season starting in late December, we’re glad that our favorite teams are back playing in their homeland. Although we cannot go to the games as true NBA fans, NBA Basketball is back! I am thankful for many reasons. So, to my basketball lovers, lets sit back, relax, enjoy, and pray we make it through this season.
