The sensational K-Pop group, known as BTS, has wowed millions of fans with their seamless blending of different genres.  Pop, funk, hip-hop, just to name a few. Their latest album, BE, is no exception. The group’s hit single “Dynamite” is a perfect blend of pop and funk with its neat bass line, polished vocals, and high-quality production. Another track off of this album, titled “Blue & Grey,” sounds like the total antithesis to “Dynamite.” To me, “Blue & Grey” evokes a rap ballad vibe. Throughout the song, there’s an emotional story being told with the rap part acting as a different perspective within the same story. While the rap section may seem out of the ordinary for some listeners, I think that it contributes well to the emotional aspect of the song and it adds more depth. After listening to this album in its entirety, I do recommend it to avid listeners of BTS and to people who want to shake up their musical routine.
