The pop girl group Little Mix is known for winning the X Factor. They released their fifth album LM5 on November 16th, 2018. which has 18 songs on it. This album is very female empowerment driven.

The first song The National Manthem is a 30 second introduction to the rest of the album. Woman Like Me featuring Nicki Minaj is a pop anthem and the music video challenges the stereotypes of what a woman should be. Think About Us is my favorite track on the whole album. It is a track about when the nights are hard, and your out with your friends do you think about how we used to be. Strip is their latest single and it’s about being confident and loving your body the way it is. Monster in Me is a very beautiful song about a toxic relationship that you shouldn`t be in but you can`t help but going back to each other. Joan of Arc is all about how your strong and independent as a woman and don`t need a man for their money. If you’re with someone it’s not because you need them for their money, it’s because you love them. Love A Girl Right is a catchy tune about when your friend is in a relationship and the guy better treat a right or their going to have you to deal with. American Girl is a track with amazing guitar sounds. It`s a catchy tune about meeting someone while on vacation and then dealing with the paranoia and insecurities that come with long distance relationships. Told You So is a song about when your friend is going through a bad breakup and you invite them over. My favorite lyrics are, “Girl just come round mine tonight I got wine and makeup wipes” Wasabi is a song with a killer beat that is so unbelievably catchy. It`s about how the ugly things the tabloids say won`t affect them. More Than Words is about someone you simply need more than words and they are there for you and vice versa. Motivate is all about how your man motivates you. Notice is about how your relationship is fizzling out and they don`t notice you anymore. The Cure is all about bouncing back from a hard time and finally feeling ok again. Forget You Not is a catchy tune about someone you can never get out of your head. Even if your dating someone new they are all you think about.  Finally, Woman`s World is about the inequality of women. My favorite lyrics are, “But she goes to the same job everyday she`s overworked and underpaid just cause the way her body’s made ain’t that insane? If you never been told how you gotta be what you gotta wear, how you gotta speak if you never shouted to be heard you aint lived in a woman’s world.”

Overall the new Little Mix album is very empowering and is a pivotal example of  female empowerment  in todays society.
